669513 Appreciating the gentle but firm reminder of how and why I'm writing. The writer's applications of how Scripture applies to our lives, to my life, have filled me once again with hope and joy. Heaven, for me, is now. I'm living with my Savior in whom I trust. I know God has more . . . the walls, the stones, the water, there for all of us, just awaiting our final arrival. Thank you, Dawn

Aww that is beautiful, Dawn. Appreciate you sharing with us. Yes, all writers, please keep writing. We have more work to do even as our eyes are on the sky. <3

I really liked your quote, Julie.

"The streets say, “What you valued on earth is not your true treasure.”

Our treasure will be Jesus fully! Not so much all about us. What we hope heaven will be. What we want. Rather heaven will be HE.

So happy also to hear there may be waves! I too love the ocean! It is incredibly gorgeous especially with those sunsets on our Western coast. I wonder if it will be an actual ocean or more like one of the Great Lakes that also have some waves. I also love both mountains and snow/snowflakes. I wonder if anyone has seen either of those in heaven or visions of heaven? I have not heard of mountains thus far, only beautiful hills. But maybe you have? I also love your description of the gorgeous stones and gold glass everywhere. And powerful description of our firm precious stones foundation there. It sounds breathtaking for sure!

Yes, there are both mountains and forests and I was thinking about that wave action too because when we lived near Chicago, I saw that Lake Michigan often had waves coming in!

When Jesus said He had living water that if one drank from, they would never thirst, it was symbolic. But in the spirit world and in heaven, living water is literal. Thank you, Julie, for talking about the river of living water flowing from the throne of God as mentioned in the book of Revelation.

Julie Bonn Blank, Heaven Blog's avatar

Yes! But I think more than symbolic. More and more, I realize He is talking about Heaven in the scriptures as well. With an eternal perspective, one cannot help it. And of course, He was also encouraging us. Thank you so much for reading and commenting, and you are welcome. I am glad to report on Heaven and cannot wait to go back.

This is such a beautiful post, Julie. There is so much hope in every line. It brings to life what is waiting for us, and it’s where my sweet daddy is. I love the detail about the pearl. I had skimmed over so many of these details but you really brought them to life. It’s so much more than we could ever hope for or imagine. Jesús’s words at the end that Lynn penned are powerful. We have all been called to write His words in these last days, each one from a different angle, but the message is the same. Thank you for this post, dear friend.
