Writing Update from Julie
Trilogy Finale, Heaven Book Started, and the BIG CCW Writing Conference
Hello friends
(Book and writing update. Back to eternity posts after the conference next week.)
It’s been busier than Black Friday over here (OK, not really) as I finished up my fiction trilogy with “Innocent Souls” and worked on getting it “out there” (I'm still waiting on the final cover, but you can download the advanced copy with a temp cover if you want to).
Don’t worry if you haven’t read Books 1 and 2. “Innocent Souls” also works well as a standalone, and my beta readers who are new to my books agree.
And now, onto writing about Heaven. As of today, I’ve completed over 14K words on my first book about Heaven. I’m excited! The words are flowing, and I am grateful. Of course, that doesn’t mean there won’t be speed bumps along the way, so please pray for me.
Book One Sale
In the meantime, I thought a massive sale on the first book in the series, when Cienna and Jasmine are kidnapped, was highly appropriate. “Innocent Lives” ebook is currently only .99 on Kindle and free on Kindle Unlimited. Won’t be that way for long, so grab it while you can. Folks from ages 13-99 truly enjoy the book, which has won several awards.
Here is a quick video about this promo:

Sunday starts our big summer conference for Cascade Christian Writers, so I wasn’t kidding about being busy! I am very grateful for our conference director and team, board members, and cascade contest coordinator. As you may know, putting on a conference is a tremendous amount of work. It takes all of us! And so many volunteers.
BUT it is always a fantastic conference, and I am super excited! God never fails to show up, and at the end of it, we are weary but stoked to see where God is moving, and the writers who leave are incredibly encouraged.
WILL YOU PRAY FOR ME?
With more mobility issues and pain this year due to my happy EDS, I would greatly appreciate your prayers for me. I will put the Rah-Rah aside for a sec and be frank with you, as you have been with me on my health journey. I have significant concerns that I won’t be able to do all that I need to do there. All the walking is tough for me, and I will need to add some time to return to my “housing” and lie down with my ice packs to get through. Thank you, friends.
About Innocent Lives:
Jasmine and Cienna have been best friends forever—every summer, their families camp together like clockwork.
This year, something goes wrong.
Terribly wrong.
The girls vanish without a trace.
Told in dual perspectives, this tense, emotional thriller explores survival, identity, and the dark corners of captivity. With chilling twists and powerful resilience, it's a story that lingers long after the final page.
(This series has angelic intervention and ends well.) :-)
Thinking of you and sending lots of prayers and hugs 🫂
Praying for your health and I already took advantage of your sale so I could read the first book next!
