Chris and I chatted about how faith impacts mental health, what to look for in a Christian or biblical counselor, the effectiveness of various healing modalities, EMDR therapy, the role of Satan/spiritual warfare in our calamities, and much more.
Dawn, I’m hopeful that you found this encouraging. And to whatever degree our topics intersected with your pain, I’m sincerely sorry you’ve experienced these things. It’s so hard to recover sometimes.
AwW Dawn, so glad that you got to take a listen. I love how God uses things when we just "say YES!" Took me so long to trust fully and just do it - I am so grateful now. Obedience truly does bring about the most restful peace possible and I am honored to walk in His will and obey no matter what. Thanks for letting us know that it was helpful to you.
It is the case, because my stepfather was a therapist for many years and was also my abuser. So I was blind to abuse especially in therapists. Sadly there’s many. But there’s also some good ones that truly try to help people.
Hi Megan, I'm so sorry to hear of your experience. That's very hard when you feel taken advantage of. It is true that many therapists are not trained very well in abuse. There are many separate components needed to be abuse-informed and survivor-centered. I'm so glad that you are out here working to make it better for those who have survived and choose to thrive. <3 Sending you a ((hug)) today.
Thanks for today’s stream!! Keep my sister in your prayers with her health
I hope it was valuable for you. Certainly was a fun conversation for me.
Thank you. Prayers will be answered soon!! It involves number 7 in its entirety
You are very welcome, and yes, prayers continue for you and yours. God is not finished, yet.
Thank you.
Hello
Hi there, Bonnie. :-)
I really enjoyed your interview with Chris. It touched on issues that have affected my life. Thanks.

Julie, this was an amazing interview. Very deep and uplifting. Well done.
I’m glad it was encouraging for you Ginni!
Thanks for listening, Ginni, and for letting us know that it was helpful to you. More to come!
I need to watch this bc I wasted so many years with therapists. I bet they all knew I was abused and just used me for monetary gain.
I hope that’s not the case. But sadly, not every therapist is out for their client’s best interests. I had a few run ins for some bad eggs myself.

Dear Lord, I’m so sorry. I don’t even have words…
